Fees & insurance
Session fee
Sessions are $275 for a 55-minute session. Payment is due at the time of your session, and I accept all major credit cards.
In-network insurance
I’m in-network with:
- Lyra
- Optum/UnitedHealthcare
Your cost depends on your insurance plan, including your copay (a flat fee per session), deductible (the amount you pay before insurance starts covering costs), and coinsurance (the percentage of the cost you pay after meeting your deductible). I recommend checking your mental health benefits before your first appointment, and I’m happy to help answer any questions.
Using Out-of-Network Benefits
If I’m not in-network with your insurance, you may still be able to use your out-of-network PPO benefits. Many plans reimburse a portion of therapy costs after your deductible.
Before getting started, ask your insurance company:
- Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
- What is my deductible, and how much have I met?
- What is the reimbursement rate for CPT code 90837?
- Do I need preauthorization or a referral?
I provide a superbill (an itemized receipt for your sessions) after each session, which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Most insurers accept claims through an online portal or app.
If you’re not sure what your plan covers, feel free to reach out—we can discuss your options.
Good Faith Estimate
If you don’t have insurance or choose not to use it, you’re entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care under the No Surprises Act. You’ll receive this estimate before starting therapy. If you’re billed at least $400 more than the estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge.
Learn more at cms.gov/nosurprises, or feel free to ask me any questions.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the session fee.
I understand that unexpected situations come up. This policy helps me offer available appointment times to clients on my waitlist and allows me to provide consistent care to everyone in my practice.
Professional consultation
For clinicians: rates for professional consultation aren’t listed here. Please contact me to discuss availability and rates.
Questions about any of this?
Insurance is confusing by design; your therapy shouldn’t be. If anything here is unclear, or you want help figuring out what your plan actually covers, just ask.
